AT&T and Emerson Create "Smart" Mobile Workstations for Hospitals; Metro Using Machine-to-Machine Technology to Make Vital Patient Data Accessible at the Point of Care

The two companies will integrate AT&T's machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions with the Metro    AccessPoint wirelessly connected mobile workstations, allowing InterMetro to proactively monitor, troubleshoot and share vital performance data about the devices. The connected mobile workstations send updates and alerts when systems are in need of service and are enabled to receive software updates from InterMetro remotely when needed.

The Metro AccessPoint Rx mobile medical workstation is being finalized to optimize run time, improve patient care, reduce costs and improve efficiency.
