The EAP900H supports large file transfers and HD media streaming, as well as PMKSA support that ensures seamless handovers of a client device's active sessions from one EAP900H access point to another to maintain a seamless, reliable connection to the network so hotel guests, patrons, employees, doctors, staff and others can maintain constant connection and watch video or transfer files without interruption no matter where they roam within a large, multi-story facility.

The EAP900H is a concurrent dual band 2.4 + 5 GHz wireless N900 indoor access point that supports 802.11a/b/g/n standards. The EAP900H is an ideal solution for expanding an existing network, delivering wireless speeds up to 450 Mbps on each frequency band and featuring a Gigabit port to offer greater bandwidth capacity and faster data transfers throughout the network. The combination of high transmit RF power and an internal MIMO antenna array for enhanced receive sensitivity extends wireless coverage and enhances connectivity to client devices, such as wireless laptops, tablets and smartphones, in areas where connections have previously been challenging or non-existent.

Featuring an aesthetic low-profile smoke detector design, the EAP900H mounts easily on a ceiling and unobtrusively blends in with other common building infrastructure appliances. Optimized for use with EnGenius' new line of Gigabit PoE Smart Switches, the EAP900H is PoE-capable which enables it to be deployed in areas where power outlets are carce or not available. The versatile EAP900H, which can be configured to operate as a dual-band wireless access point, WDS bridge, or WDS access point, can be easily managed with the included EnGenius Zone Controller access point management software.

  • Concurrent Dual Band 450 + 450Mbps Support - Delivers concurrent 802.11n dual radio operation on both 2.4GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands with data speeds up to 450 Mbps on each for maximum wireless throughput performance. Band steering optimizes connectivity and wireless speeds for client devices by steering dual band or 5 GHz-capable client devices to the 5 GHz band and alleviating network traffic congestion often found on the 2.4 GHz band.
  • Long Range - High RF transmit power output up to 28 dBm (News - Alert), combined with 3 x 3 stream MIMO and six high-gain, internal 5 dBi antennas, maximizes RF performance and provides more than twice the Wi-Fi coverage of mainstream competing products.
  • Seamless Roaming - Supports PMKSA that distributes and caches a designated WPA/WPA2-Enterprise encryption key to neighboring EAP access points to ensure a seamless handover of the client from one EAP access point to the next to maintain a seamless, reliable connection to the network.
  • Multiple Operating Modes - Can be configured to work as a dual-band wireless access point, WDS bridge, or WDS access point, for maximum versatility.
  • 802.3at PoE Compatible - Compatible for use with 802.3at-capable PoE switches or injectors, EAP900H draws up to 25 watts of power and can be deployed in areas where power outlets are not available.
  • Simple Management - SNMP-based wireless access point management software provides a robust suite of tools for configuring, controlling and monitoring the EAP900H, and other compatible EnGenius access points, from one central location.
  • MSSID and VLAN Support - Supports up to eight BSSIDs with 802.1q VLAN tagging enabling users to provide employees and guests with access to the Internet while controlling access to network connected resources to protect sensitive data or resources.
