JumpCloud Boosts Server Management Automation with $3M Series A Round
BOULDER, Colo. --(Business Wire)--
JumpCloud™, the leading automated server management tool for DevOps and
IT pros, announced today it has closed a $3M (News - Alert) Series A round led by
investors Foundry Group and Bullet Time Ventures. JumpCloud enables
DevOps and IT pros to manage the explosion of cloud, virtual, and
on-premises servers through an automated SaaS (News - Alert)-based service. JumpCloud
is founded by eight-time venture-backed entrepreneur Rajat Bhargava, and
led by a team of seasoned IT professionals.
The company has grown quickly since launching at TechCrunch Disrupt San
Francisco last September. DevOps and IT pros utilize JumpCloud to
automate the critical server lifecycle steps of provisioning,
configuration, manaement, and monitoring. JumpCloud automates server
management and saves DevOps and IT admins significant time managing
users, patches, security, and compliance. Before JumpCloud, more servers
meant more effort, but JumpCloud eliminates that increased effort,
making it as easy to manage hundreds of servers as it is to manage one.
"We truly believe in the significant value of our product, and this
investment is a testament to the confidence in our vision and team,"
said Rajat Bhargava, CEO of JumpCloud. "Working closely with our
customers, we have already made tremendous progress in the months since
launching. Having the increased resources that this funding will provide
allows us to accelerate our mission of automating the management of
every server, everywhere."
JumpCloud automates manual, tedious server
management tasks from the cloud for DevOps and IT pros. Complementary to
and integrated with Chef and Puppet, JumpCloud picks up where they leave
off by automating management of users, patches, security, and
compliance. JumpCloud returns days to DevOps and IT admins' lives while
increasing security. An automated SaaS-based offering, JumpCloud
installs in seconds and deploys on physical, virtual, or cloud servers.
