VoiceBox Cited for 'Patent Power' and Innovation

LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)--

VoiceBox Technologies Corp., the award-winning provider of patented Contextual Voice Technology, today announced that it has been named in the Patent Power 2013 Scorecard, an independent industry evaluation of the best patent portfolios, conducted by the research firm, 1790 Analytics.

The industry-respected study evaluates Patent Power from the perspective of not only quantity but quality; variables include patent originality and the portfolio's ability to impact the overall technology industry. VoiceBox's Top 15 Rank reflects this criteria. VoiceBox received the highest scores for patent portfolio Creativity, Generality and overall Impact compared to such giants as Microsoft, Symantec, Oracle, Adobe (News - Alert) and SAP.

IEEE, the world's largest professional association for the advancement of technology, notes that this metric reveals a trend toward "smaller companies such as VoiceBox and Facebook (News - Alert)" increasingly driving the future of technology.

VoiceBox's patents include the ability to use context to better understand the intent of a spoken command and to personalize the response. Another high profile patent involves using the information gleaned from that voice 'conversation' to drive targeted advertising and promotions.

"We are proud to be cited for the innovation and 'Patent Power' of our intellectual property," says Mike Kennewick, VoiceBox's CEO, "these strengths have made us an acknowledged leader in Natural Language Voice application technology and a pioneer in the 'connected car' industry trend. Those same innovations will further catalyze our growth, as our competitive advantage becomes meaningful in the quickly emerging Home, TV and 'Wearables' markets."

VoiceBox's lead position in automotive and its opportunities in new growth markets have accounted for two consecutive years of 75 per cent revenue growth. "With market needs aligning to the capabilities inherent in our patent portfolio," said Kennewick, "we don't expect that growth to slow down any time soon."
