Our Distress! Personal Security App For Windows Phone Is Now Free
(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 27 December 2013
Release date- 20122013 - Distress! the personal security app for Windows Phone - by BrilliSoft and Extentia - that lets your friends and family know when you might need help, is now available for free in the Windows Phone Store
When BrilliSoft and Extentia originally released the app in November, the app shipped with 10 SMS credits, hence the $1.99 price tag.
The SMS credits enabled the sending of text messages to your friends and family in an emergency situation. Now that it's free, the app works by sending email messages instead.
Users still have the option to purchase SMS credits (via an in-app purchase), if they want their contacts to be notified via SMS and email if there is an emergency.
A great feature that is still included in the free version is that, if you are in trouble, the app will notify other users in a 1 kilometer radius and give them directions to your location, if they choose to respond.
