GfK Debuts Innovative Data Visualization Platform Bringing Roper Reports® Trends to Life

NEW YORK --(Business Wire)--

GfK is marking the 40th anniversary of its global Roper Reports® surveys with "Trending the World," a series of interactive visualizations that provide new perspectives on consumers' beliefs and concerns. The project - a collaboration between GfK's Data Visualization and Market Opportunities and Innovation teams - demonstrates how digital platforms can add depth and resonance to trend insights.

The visualizations use clickable and movable elements, as well as animation and graphics, to bring to life the changing attitudes of consumers in the US and globally. "Chapters" in the series focus on

Insights for "Trending the World" come from Roper Reports US, an ongoing survey of US consumers started in 1973, and its sister product, Roper Reports Worldwide (RRW), an annual GfK global survey of consumers 15 years old and up. The RRW survey covers aspirations, interests, attitudes and behaviors related to technology, health care, food and diet, personal finances, and other categories. More than 37,500 respondents in 25 countries were interviewed for the 2013 Roper Reports Worldwide survey.
