Unlike PC or Android sticks, Ceptor is a full featured enterprise client desktop access point that is configurable, persistent and fully manageable making it an ideal virtual desktop solution for a wide variety of uses. Ceptor plugs into any monitor or display that is equipped with an HDMI port.

Ceptor uses Devon IT's DeTOS, a Linux based thin client operating system,to run in a stateless condition. Users are unable to execute software or initiate remote sessions that the administrators have not authorized. A user enters their username and password and is immediately up and running in their remote session. Ceptor devices do not broadcast or auto-discover network protocols, eliminating the need for special firewall or routing rules. Since the terminals have no local persistent memory, there are no threats from viruses or malicious software.

Ceptor uses a dual core ARM (News - Alert) processor with DeTOS already installed and the client device is manageable by Devon IT's Echo thin client management software platform. When plugged into an HDMI monitor and network, Ceptor provides a full virtual desktop experience. It has integrated Bluetooth andWi-Fi capability for connecting to the network. Ceptor also includes USB On-The-Go via a USB-B micro host port as well as 1080P HD video output.

"Ceptor is an advanced ultra-small-small thin client device that brings the data to the user when and where they need it," explained Joe Makoid, President, Devon IT. "Most importantly, this is an enterprise class device that is fully configurable and manageable making it an ideal solution for companies and organizations worldwide with increasingly mobile and remote work forces."

Ceptor is one of the most unique, versatile and low cost thin client devices on the market. It is an ultra-compact multimedia-capable device that enables users to convert any HDMI capable TV or monitor into an interactive enterprise thin client device. Its small form factor offers a full virtual desktop experience at a low price point.

The Ceptor is an enterprise thin client device that operates within a Citrix, RDP or VMware environment. Ceptor uses a dual core ARM processor with Devon IT's award winning thin client OS, already installed. The client device is managed by Devon IT's Echo thin client management software (included).
