Procera Networks joins anti-phishing working group
Oct 23, 2013 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) --
Procera Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: PKT) said it has joined the Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG), a worldwide consortium comprised of financial institutions, retailers, Internet service providers, telecommunications companies and law enforcement agencies working to unify the global response to Internet cybercrime through the development of data resources, data standards, model response systems and protocols for the private and public sectors.
Procera incorporates red-flagged offenders and their URLs into its ContentLogic solution, which is capable of correlating the categories of content consumed by broadband and mobile subscribers for up to 100 million URLs with minimal performance impact to any of the PacketLogic real-time enforcement systems.
Founded in 2003, the APWG includes over 2,000 companies and agencies worldwide including governance bodies like ICANN; treaty organizations such as the United Nations and Council of Europe's Convention on Cybercrime; as well as multinational Internet companies such as Yahoo!, eBay, Google, and Microsoft. For more information, visit www.APWG.org.

There are more than 2,000 companies, government agencies and NGOs participating in the APWG worldwide.
