Fitch: T-Mobile Q2 Wireless Additions Lead Industry
CHICAGO --(Business Wire)--
T-Mobile (News - Alert) added approximately 1.13 million wireless customers during the
second quarter of 2013, edging out Verizon Wireless, which added
approximately 1 million subscribers, for the industry lead. Overall,
wireless net additions among the four largest wireless service providers
plunged 70% during the second quarter of 2013 versus last year to
Fitch estimates that the largest video service providers lost
approximately 337,000 video subscribers during the seasonally weak
second quarter of 2013, but the losses were in line with the 347,000
video subscribers lost during the same period last year. Additionally,
Fitch believes that the largest multichannel video programming
distributors (MVPDs) lost approximately 46,000 video customers during
the trailing 12-month period ended June 30, 2013.
