TEO introduces Internet Security service
Sep 19, 2013 (MarketLine via COMTEX) --
TEO LT AB, a telecommunication company, has introduced the Interneto apsauga, or Internet Security, service, developed in cooperation with Kaspersky Lab, an anti-virus software maker, for its customers.
The new service will make it possible to ensure not only the security of users' computers, but also the security of their identity and financial data. The service "Interneto apsauga" (Internet Security) protects computers against viruses, hacking and spyware, ensures safe browsing, using online banking and shopping websites, social networking websites, and allows parents to control the time their children spend on the Internet and the websites they browse, TEO said.
It also provides e-mail protection against unsolicited emails (spam) and prevents criminals from taking over users' computers and using them for malicious purposes.
"Most of the internet attacks are organized while using the computers of the internet users, which are taken over and included into the botnet activities. Our goal is to prevent this and help our Internet users feel as safe as possible in cyberspace", - Darius Didzgalvis, Chief Technology Officer and Deputy General Manager of TEO said.
