UPN expands fiber-optic network services in Kansas City metro area
Aug 30, 2013 (MarketLine via COMTEX) --
Unite Private Networks, or UPN, has announced a fiber-optic network expansion in the Kansas City metro area. The 25-mile route will stretch from UPN's existing network at Interstate 435 near Lenexa, Kansas extending down the Highway 69 corridor to Louisburg, Kansas. The recently approved project is in support of two carrier customers.
This build-out adds to other recent network expansion activities in the broader Kansas City market in support of several local school districts, data centers, government, and enterprise business customers, the company said.
"UPN is excited to extend our world class fiber network south to the Louisburg community," stated Jason W. Adkins, Senior vice president of Sales and Marketing. "We are looking forward to working with enterprise business, government, data center, and carrier customers to provide dark fiber, Ethernet, wavelength, and IP services to this area by expanding our Kansas City footprint to the south."
