Global Virus Network (GVN) names G. Steven Burrill as the new board chairman

Global Virus Network (GVN) revealed on Tuesday the appointment of G. Steven Burrill as the new chairman of its board of directors, bringing more than 45 years of biotechnology, financial and entrepreneurial expertise and leading to next stage of development.
Burrill succeeds the company's outgoing board chair, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend.
Currently, Burrill is a member of the boards of directors of AliveCor (Chairman), Catalyst Biosciences, Depomed (DEPO), NewBridge, Novadaq (NVDQ) and XDx. He is a founder and chairman of the board of the National Science and Technology Medals Foundation (NSTMF). Previously, he was the chair of the Boards of BioImagene, Abunda Nutrition and Pharmasset.
