Boxer Updates on Integration with Box OneCloud
Aug 23, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Boxer, a mobile inbox, announced another milestone in its technology roadmap with the integration of Box.
According to a release, available in Box OneCloud, an ecosystem of integrated mobile apps, Boxer will allow more than 15 million Box users to interact with files stored in their Box accounts directly from their mobile email. The integration consists of a simple user interface that enables users to attach files from Box to email messages.
While the functionality of adding attachments to emails is commonplace on desktop and web mail applications, performing the same action with mobile email has traditionally been a challenge. Cloud collaboration products like Box allow users to store important documents in a central repository that they can access anywhere, the Company noted. Providing access to these documents in the context of mobile email means that they can be quickly shared and discussed even while users are away from their desks.
"Our goal at Boxer is to provide a revolutionary inbox experience that allows people to get things done in email, even when they are away from their desks," said Andrew Eye, CEO and Founder of Boxer. "Box helps us fill a major gap in traditional mobile email by allowing users to quickly share documents of all kinds - from proposals and sales quotes to photos and soccer schedules."
