To raise awareness about the need to eradicate HIV stigma - the baseless fear or hatred of people living with HIV that stems from a lack of knowledge about the condition - leading global health organization AIDS Healthcare Foundation is partnering with Tampa STD testing clinic Youth Education Services on two simultaneous flash mobs that will be performing coordinated dances to the Sara Bareilles song "Brave" at two bustling Tampa malls on the afternoon of Saturday, August 17. A spontaneous dance will burst forth at West Shore Mall at 1 pm, followed closely at 2 pm by another surprise performance at International Mall, both in west Tampa. The dancers will be wearing matching T-shirts promoting AHF's informational website www.endHIVstigma.org.
