Actiontec Wins Four Best In Biz 2013 International Awards, Including Top Honors For ScreenBeam
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --
Actiontec Electronics announced today that it has taken home four awards in the Best in Biz Awards 2013 International, an independent business awards program judged by members of the press and industry analysts.
Actiontec's awards include: Gold winner in Consumer Product of the Year for its ScreenBeam Wireless Display Kit; Silver winner for Technology Department of the Year; Bronze winner in Best Product of the Year for MyWirelessTV; and Bronze winner for Best New Website of the Year.
The gold award-winning ScreenBeam Wireless Display Kit lets users wirelessly share content from a compatible computer, smartphone, or tablet to an HDTV. Movies, vacation photos, presentations, online videos and more come alive in brilliant HD on the largest display in the house. Friends and family can enjoy Hulu content, home videos, and more on the HDTV, rather than huddling around a laptop.
As a bronze winner for Best Product of the Year, MyWirelessTV replaces HDMI cables with a wireless transmitter and receiver to deliver HDTV over a standard WiFi network. This means users can hang a new flat panel above the living room fireplace and not have to worry about cables ruining the aesthetics.
In addition, the Actiontec Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) group was honored for its role as the cornerstone of the company's innovation and product development. And judges recognized the revamped Actiontec website for its simplified design, user-friendly navigation, and impressive collection of learning tools and resources.
"We're honored to be recognized in Best in Biz' inaugural international award program. The list of judges includes some of the top names in technology and business journalism across the globe," said Brian Henrichs, chief business development officer at Actiontec Electronics.
"Actiontec has had numerous accomplishments over the past year toward making broadband more useful and enjoyable for consumers everywhere and we're so pleased to see these achievements recognized by the international body," he added.
Best in Biz Awards recognizes top companies, teams, executives, and products for their business success as judged by established members of the press and industry analysts.
More than 150 public and private companies representing all sectors of the economy from more than 25 countries competed in Best in Biz Awards' International's inaugural program. Winners were determined based on scoring from a panel of 43 judges drawn from top-tier news, business, finance, and technology outlets from 18 countries.
