BRIEF: Teens charged with school burglary

Jul 19, 2013 (The Daily Star - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Two Delaware County teenagers are facing felony burglary charges after they allegedly slipped into the South Kortright Central School and stole computer equipment, State Police at Margaretville said today.

Chandler Gual and Kenneth Adams, both of Hobart, were charged Thursday with third-degree burglary in connection with a July 6 incident, troopers said.

Troopers responded to an intrusion alarm at 3:43 a.m. that day and noticed the two teens fleeing from the school property into a wooded area along state Route 10, police said.

Police said Gual and Adams were released on their own recognizance after being arraigned on the charges July 10 in Stamford Town Court. They are scheduled to reappear next Tuesday.
