Schneider Electric releases 3D Interactive app for iPhones and iPads

Jul 17, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Schneider Electric SA, which is engaged in electricity distribution, automation management and produces installation components for energy management, has released its Schneider Electric 3D Interactive app, designed for both iPhones and iPads.

The free, easy-to-use app allows users to have an innovative and digitized way to access information about Schneider Electric products and solutions, anywhere, anytime.

The Schneider Electric 3D Interactive app enables users who have traditionally been limited to viewing product details in a 2D format or carrying around physical samples to now have a 360-degree view of products via the app or on the Web. This enables customers to better understand the offer, ultimately delivering value to their organization.

The app offers users 3D product demonstrations of features, benefits and product overviews of Schneider Electric's products, including the Model 6 Arc Resistant Motor Control Center, Powerbus Busway, PowerPact 150 A H-Frame Circuit Breakers, PowerPact 250 A J-Frame Circuit Breakers, and the PowerPact 600 A L-Frame Circuit Breakers. With the tap of a finger, customers can spin a heavy motor control center 360 degrees, simulate an arc flash event, connect an Ethernet cord on the Powerbus, remove the cover from a PowerPact circuit breaker and see inside, or spin an auxiliary component, the company reported.

"As contractors and consultants expand their businesses, it's becoming more important for them to have instant access to product information. We're excited to provide them with an innovative way to conveniently access information on a digital platform," said Fabrice Meunier, business director, Partner Projects Division, Schneider Electric. "This app engages our customers, allowing them to have an interactive and convenient way to explore and discover Schneider Electric products." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
