United Network Services selects Global Capacity as ecosystem partner
Mar 22, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) --
United Network Services, Inc., or UNSi, a provider of managed services, has selected Global Capacity, a telecommunications information and logistics company, as one of its ecosystem partners to extend the reach of its network, and to enable delivery of both TDM and Ethernet services in select parts of the mid-west region.
According to the company, with an interconnection to Global Capacity's One Marketplace at its Chicago Point of Presence (PoP) and utilization of the automated pricing and service delivery platform, UNSi is able to extend the capacity and reach of its intelligent access MPLS Exchange Platform (MEP).
Global Capacity's One Marketplace offers automated pricing and streamlined service delivery of global network connectivity. With transparent visibility into access network pricing and availability, One Marketplace offers network capacity across multiple networks and geographies, said Global Capacity.
"Global Capacity's One Marketplace has been instrumental in expanding UNSi's network reach and decreasing our overall time to market," said Allan Schwartz, senior vice president of strategic planning & business development for UNSi.
"One Marketplace has also played a key role in solving our TDM abilities covering specific areas of the US market, which has been a growing need for us over the last few quarters. At the same time, One Marketplace positions us well to capitalize on new opportunities that continue to come our way."
UNSi's interconnection to One Marketplace enables Global Capacity to deliver additional network access solutions such as bandwidth private lines to support UNSi's overall network demand.
"Global Capacity is excited to support UNSi in its achievement of critical corporate initiatives including network reach and product expansion," added Ben Edmond, chief revenue officer of Global Capacity. "Global Capacity's One Marketplace offers UNSi access to competitive network quotes in real-time and a streamlined service delivery for the best customer experience. This allows UNSi to be more responsive and accurate in supporting customers and decreasing their overall time to market."
