WTI Releases Dual Ethernet Console Servers
IRVINE, CA, Mar 22, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
WTI, an industry leader in the field of Out of Band Console
Management, is proud to announce the release of a new line of Dual
Ethernet Port Console Servers for Out-of-Band Remote Console
Management
(http://www.wti.com/c-9-tsm-series-serial-rj45-port-console-servers.aspx).
In addition to providing remote access to serial console ports on
connected devices, the new TSM models also include dual Ethernet
ports in order to allow connection to both a primary network and a
secondary fallback network, plus dual power inlets to ensure that the
unit is always powered up and ready to go when it's needed the most.
"WTI's new TSM-40-DPE Dual Ethernet Port Console Server is
specifically designed to provide a reliable out-of-band management
solution for network redundancy and failover applications," said
Dustin Morrison, WTI Marketing Manager. "The TSM-40-DPE includes two
Ethernet ports to simplify connection to two separate networks. This
design is ideal for any network failover application that requires
connection to both a primary and back-up network and is also perfect
for system redundancy applications that require a console server that
can be connected to both your main production network, plus a
secondary maintenance network. The presence of dual power inlets also
adds reliability by allowing connection to both a main power supply
and back-up power supply, ensuring that power is always available,
even in the event of a power blackout."
The new TSM-40-DPE Dual Ethernet Console Server is the ideal solution
for out-of-band access in critical out-of-band management
applications. With dual Ethernet ports and dual power inlets, the
TSM-40-DPE can gracefully recover from both network outages and power
outages without interrupting communication with serial console ports
on connected devices. In addition to failover and redundancy
applications, the dual Ethernet port format can also be put to many
other useful purposes. For example, a 3G/4G modem and router can be
installed at the second Ethernet port in order to provide out-of-band
cellular broadband access to the console server without sacrificing a
valuable serial port.
Like other WTI Console Server products, TSM-40-DPE also includes a
powerful assortment of security and authentication features,
user-defined event alarms and device monitoring capabilities,
multiple event notification formats, SNMP compatibility, outbound
SSH, Port Buffering and all of the other convenient, field-tested
features that have made WTI console server products an industry
standard.
For over 45 years, WTI has been a leading innovator in the design and
manufacture of remote console management and power control tools for
off-site data centers, remote network equipment sites and other
out-of-band management applications. WTI products are designed and
manufactured in Irvine, California with partner locations in over 20
countries worldwide to support the global market.
