Medical Device Thermoformer to Capitalize on IQMS' ERP Solution

IQMS, a manufacturing ERP software and MES developer with an ongoing, proactive commitment to its product and relationships, today announced that Philadelphia Manufacturer of the Year, C.W. Thomas, has joined forces with IQMS. A vacuum/pressure former that serves the transportation, aerospace, industrial and medical markets, C.W. Thomas partnered with IQMS based on the ERP provider's customer references, industry specificity and overall total cost of ownership.

C.W. Thomas' legacy ERP system was laboriously outdated - the company was operating on a DOS-based software combined with Excel spreadsheets. The homegrown Excel spreadsheets did not link to each other, resulting in redundant data entry, no transparency and a loss of productivity from the extra work the spreadsheets incurred. Additionally, shop floor control and inventory management was a manual effort, prompting C.W. Thomas to begin the search.

"The other two ERP packages we considered offered more than we needed in areas that were not relevant to our industry," said Robert Brennan, vice president of operations at C.W. Thomas.
