General Services Administration Awards Contract to TW Telecom

Mar 19, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- TW Telecom, a provider of managed services, including Business Ethernet, converged and IP VPN solutions, announced it has been awarded a competitive multi-year contract to bid for services from the U.S. General Services Administration.

In a release, the Company noted terms of the agreement call for up to two three-year options to extend the term of the contract to ten years. The contract award is effective beginning April 1.

This award is known as the GSA Region 4 Integrated Telecommunications Services II Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Fixed Price with an Economic Price Adjustment Multiple-Award contract.

This contract allows TW Telecom to bid on providing specific voice, data and Internet services to all Federal agencies and organizations authorized to use GSA sources of supply and services in the southeast corridor, specifically in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The GRITS II IDIQ multiple award contract vehicle allows TW Telecom to bid on Federal government voice, data and Internet solutions opportunities and for multi-site solutions that originate within the southeast region across the United States.

"TW Telecom's services will ensure that Civilian, Defense and Intelligence Federal agencies have access to the benefits of an integrated data network that gives employees the most advanced services possible." TW Telecom is a provider of managed services.
