GameStop Signs 600K Members to PlayStation4 First to Know List

GameStop, a retailer of video games, announced that 600,000 members of its PowerUp Rewards loyalty program have signed up for the PlayStation4 (PS4) First to Know List.
According to a release, members enjoy instant notifications whenever news and purchase updates are released on Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.'s (SCE) computer entertainment system, PS4, which redefines rich and immersive gameplay with graphics and speed, intelligent personalization, integrated social capabilities, and second-screen features.
GameStop announced the PS4 First to Know List on February 20 as SCE unveiled the system at PlayStation Meeting 2013 in New York as well as in a live streaming event watched by millions of fans around the world.
"With only a glance at the PS4, gamers are excited and eager to know more," said GameStop president Tony Bartel. "Within just a few weeks, more than 600,000 people have signed up, showing strong demand for this new console."
"Our goal with PlayStation 4 is to deliver inspiring and creative play experiences that gamers have never seen before," said Jack Tretton, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America.
