Lumi Mobile's Technology Receives 3 US Patents

Mar 13, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Lumi Mobile, a specialist focusing on consumer insight mobile technology and real-time audience engagement for market researchers, media companies and brands, has received confirmation that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted three separate patents protecting the company's core technologies.

According to a release, the patents cover: Cross-platform distribution - the ability to create and deliver content and behaviour to a number of different electronic devices, even when they have different operating systems or platforms. Users can experience the content in real time.

Synchronisation - a system for sending time-based content simultaneously to a variety of connected devices. Execution can occur within approximately one second, allowing actions - such as triggering questions - to be synchronized precisely with live events or broadcasts. This allows fair participation and accurate content evaluation.

Dynamic content - the ability to update content reliably and rapidly on a mobile device without having to refresh the page or re-install an app. New content may be created and sent to devices, either in response to a request (pulled), by producing new content on the server side (pushed) or by scheduled events being triggered. This enables real-time interactive services such as surveys, live voting and messaging, quizzes and games.

Richard Taylor, CEO of Lumi Mobile, said: "This is a huge milestone in establishing Lumi's technology as the market leader in real time mobile interactivity. We are immensely proud of our development capability and the team continues to refine and improve the Lumi platform to the benefit of our clients in the research and insight, live event and audience engagement sectors."
