Central Telecommunications Center of Wood County, West Virginia, Selects Tiburon for Their Next Generation Technology Needs
SAN RAMON, CA, Mar 12, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
Tiburon, Inc., the industry's leading provider of integrated CAD and
records management public safety software for the cloud, today
announced that the Central County Telecommunications Center for Wood
County, West Virginia (Wood County 9-1-1), selected Tiburon for their
next generation Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) solution.
Wood County 9-1-1 selected Tiburon to upgrade their existing CAD
system to the industry's fastest growing multi-agency,
multi-jurisdictional platform -- Tiburon's DispatchNow. The upgrade
includes 15-position licenses for DispatchNow CAD and licenses for
WebCAD and CADMonitor -- all deployed in a traditional on-premises
fashion (DispatchNow is also available in a secure-cloud deployment
model). The contract also features VM Server Hardware, Onsite Cutover
Support, Onsite User Training and Interfaces for seamless data
sharing and reporting with the State of West Virginia, APCO Advisor
and XML Records Management.
"We selected Tiburon's DispatchNow CAD as our next generation
solution because it offers the latest technology that is not only
reliable, but scalable for the long-term future needs of our County's
public safety services. Our partnership with Tiburon is very strong
and their shared level of commitment was also a deciding factor,"
said Randy Lowe, Communications Director, Central County
Telecommunications Center for Wood County.
Wood County 9-1-1 serves 2 counties (Wirt and Wood), with a combined
total population of approximately 93,000 and 25 public safety
agencies (Fire/EMS/Police). In 2012, the 9-1-1 center staffed 25
dispatchers and processed approximately 189,000 calls for service.
"We are honored that Wood County 9-1-1 has placed their trust in
Tiburon and greatly look forward to continuing our long-term
partnership," said Kirke Curtis, Tiburon's Vice President of
Marketing. "DispatchNow offers Wood County 9-1-1 the richest work
environment available and is architected to meet the future
challenges of Next Generation 911. Most importantly, DispatchNow is a
critical part of helping their team make Wood and Wirt counties safer
communities in which to live, work and visit."
