DeNA Provides Mobile Games and Panels Lineup for South by Southwest Interactive

DeNA Co., Ltd., a provider of mobile games, announced that it will make its debut appearance at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive annual festival in Austin, Texas, from March 8-10.
In a release, the company noted event details:
A featured exhibitor at the SXSW Gaming Expo, DeNA's Mobage booth will showcase a variety of new content from its upcoming free-to-play mobile game releases on its Mobage social games platform, in addition to having key game developers and executives participating on exclusive panel discussions at the event.
Game Demos
Located at booth #605, DeNA's Mobage games booth is showing new content from the following list of soon to be released free-to-play mobile games at the SXSW Gaming Expo, in addition to offering special promotions for fans that visit the DeNA booth.
-The Drowning: a console-quality first-person-shooter experience custom built for mobile devices, featuring intense action, high-definition graphics, and a control scheme that breaks away from clunky virtual joysticks. The game's talented development team has worked on many console shooter games such as Halo, Crysis, Battlefield and Far Cry. SXSW is the first time the game will be demoed publicly.
-Transformers: Legends: the game sets players on a war-torn Earth where they build a team of Autobots or Decepticons to travel through two adventurous storylines, and battle against one another in intense player-versus-player combat. Live on now on Google Play, this action card-battle game based on the TRANSFORMERS franchise will be releasing soon for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. -Apoc Wars: society is finished, but the fun has just begun in this all-new real-time strategy game coming soon for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android. Build base camps and train troops to take on other players for domination of the post-apocalypse.

Social games have historically been geared towards the female player, but a new era of social games is expanding from "pink" games to also include "blue" games. This session features DeNA's VP of Marketing & Revenue Doug Scott, in addition to speakers from social game makers from KIXEYE and Zynga discussing what it takes to make a social game that is appealing for the traditionally core male console player.
