A Davenport man has been sentenced to 10 years in jail for child pornography after investigators found 300,000 images of child pornography on his computers.
Preston D. Wilbur, 46, was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in federal prison for distributing child pornography. He pleaded guilty on Nov. 14.
Wilbur distributed numerous images and videos of child pornography to undercover officers over the Internet, according to court documents.
Officers also searched his house and seized several computers, hard drives and USB flash drives that contained more than 300,000 images and 8,389 videos of child pornography, documents said.
The case is another brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to fight child sexual exploitation and abuse. For information about Project Safe Childhood, visit www.usdoj.gov/psc.
