BRIEF: Somerset County police chief suspended after photo surfaces

Mar 01, 2013 (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A Somerset County police chief has been suspended without pay after a photo of him and a woman brandishing handguns surfaced on the internet.

Confluence police Chief Tom Keller is on unpaid administrative leave, Mayor Allen Gyorko said.

"There will be an internal investigation into the matter," Mr. Gyorko said.

In the photo, Mr. Keller has his arms around a woman who has a handgun tucked into her pants and is holding a second gun.

Mr. Keller told KDKA this afternoon he filed a complaint with state police this morning, as someone had hacked his private Facebook page.

He believes the hacker "is just trying to embarrass him," KDKA reported.
