CAROL STREAM, Ill. --(Business Wire)--
Connected World magazine today announced that Editorial Director
Peggy Smedley will speak at the upcoming annual conference for the New
Jersey Assn. of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies' (NJAMHAA's)
Information Technology (IT) Project.
As an outspoken advocate and supporter of connected devices and M2M
technology, Smedley will present the keynote address to CEOs, CIOs, IT
directors, and staff from hospital-based and freestanding non-profit
behavioral healthcare providers, as well as government leaders,
advocates, and consumers. Her talk will be on March 5, 2013 at Pines
Manor in Edison, N.J.
"Healthcare is an arena where M2M can provide endless advantages. I am
looking forward to discussing those possibilities with the members of
NJAMHAA next week," says Peggy Smedley, editorial director, Connected
World. "Through the IT Project, NJAMHAA has become a strong
technology advocate, much in the same way Connected World has
made the commitment to connected devices and M2M. I am glad I can lend a
hand inits unique mission."
Following the focus of the IT Project's 2013 event, "Riding the Coaster
of Change: Strap Yourself In," Smedley's presentation is set to educate
attendees on the benefits that can be found for patient care in today's
connected world. She will discuss current industry trends, including
BYOD, apps, and connected devices for healthcare.
"We are delighted that Ms. Smedley is able to present our keynote
address at our annual IT conference this year. She brings with her
valuable expertise in the area of M2M, which is increasingly becoming
more intertwined with our everyday lives," says June Noto, chief
operating officer and director, NJAMHAA's IT Project. "The impact of
connected devices is still being ascertained, but we are seeing more and
more of it across all industry sectors, especially in healthcare. We are
excited to welcome her to the Garden State to share her wisdom with us
all."
