exclusively focused on providing global leadership for the optimal use
of information technology (IT) and management systems for the betterment

as a leader in Medical Technology and Information Technology.

in healthcare during 2012-2016 and a forecast of about 335 billion
expenditure by 2016.
Hessen's medical technology sector has 20,000 employees and 1,100
companies, 100+ scientific institutions, and 32 Technology/Incubator
Centers located mostly in the Hessian cities of Darmstadt, Giessen and
Kassel. Its Health-IT industry is comprised of small innovative
technology developers to international corporations, such as Fresenius,
B. Braun Melsungen AG and Abbott Diagnostics and Mechatronic AG, which
traditionally invest more than the average in research and development.
