Imation Showcases Security Enhanced IronKey™ "PC on a Stick™" Windows 8 Compatible Drives at RSA 2013

Imation Corp. (NYSE: IMN), a global scalable storage and data security company, today announced that it will be demonstrating IronKey (News - Alert)™ Workspace W500 during the RSA Conference 2013 at Imation's booth #2425. The IronKey Workspace W500 devices will help companies address both their teleworking needs and their compliance requirements, via enhanced security features including hardware encryption, a rugged metal enclosure and additional security and management options. The IronKey Workspace W500 has passed the Windows Hardware Certification Kit for Windows 8-compatible drives.

Imation's IronKey Workspace family currently includes the Windows To Go certified IronKey Workspace W300, which features high speed and performance with Windows BitLocker Drive Encryption. Having passed the Windows Hardware Certification Kit for Windows To Go compatible drives, the IronKey Workspace W500 is currently undergoing Microsoft (News - Alert) Corp.'s rigorous Windows To Go certification process. Following certification, the drives will be available via Imation Mobile Security channel partners.

IronKey Workspace W500 will feature IronKey hardware encryption and a ruggedized metal casing; and options for mass provisioning and device management. The IronKey Workspace W500 also will offer an optional crossover storage feature, which allows the device to be used also as traditional encrypted security-enhanced flash drive, eliminating the need for a second encrypted drive for data transfer.
