Aptina™ MobileHDR™ Technology and NVIDIA Chimera Computational Photography Architecture Deliver Enhanced Mobile Video and Still Capture Experience

Aptina announced today that its AR0833 mobile imaging sensor with
MobileHDR technology has been selected by NVIDIA (News - Alert) to enable the NVIDIA®
Chimera™ Computational Photography Architecture in the NVIDIA Tegra® 4
family, including Tegra 4 - the world's fastest mobile processor - and
the new Tegra 4i - the first integrated Tegra LTE processor.
Aptina's leading-edge MobileHDR™ technology provides an outstanding
high-dynamic range (HDR (News - Alert)) experience at sensor frame rates.�The Tegra 4
and Tegra 4i processors utilize this capability in video and still
imaging modes.
The Chimera architecture enables advanced computational photography
capabilities in smartphones and tablets by fusing together the
processing power of the CPU, GPU, ISP and imaging sensor. Device makers
can dramatically enhance mobile imaging with a range of industry-first
mobile features, including always-on HDR photos and videos, HDR
panoramic and persistent tap-to-track capabilities.
