NetSocket CEM and Microsoft Lync Solutions Assure Exceptional Enterprise-Class Unified Communications
PLANO, Texas --(Business Wire)--
NetSocket,
a leading provider of network service assurance solutions for unified
communications (UC) in enterprise and service provider
environments, today announced its collaboration with Microsoft
in fully implementing the Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync® Network Diagnostics
API for Lync 2013 and 2010 environments. The latest version of its Cloud
Experience Manager (CEM) delivers comprehensive, real-time
visibility into IP network issues that could impact Lync users'
experience, enabling UC managers to quickly anticipate, isolate and
remediate network-based UC problems. NetSocket CEM reduces problem
resolution time by more than 70 percent, for a significantly lower total
cost of ownership (TCO) and a superior Lync user experience.
NetSocket's patented IP Correlation Engine® fully supports
the Microsoft
Lync Network Diagnostics API, a new and unique Microsoft
Lync real-time service assurance API, to provide real-time,
hop-by-hop IP topology path identification and recording of all media
streams for all Lync voice and video calls. The real-time identification
of specific route paths for each call allows IT support staff to
correlate a user's complaint to the likely root cause of service
degradation more accurately and faster than has ever been possible
before. NetSocket is the first IP network service assurance providr to
deploy this new Microsoft Lync API in a real-time solution for
distributed enterprises.
Offering more than just monitoring, CEM provides complete IP network
information, automatically correlating session, content and topology
data. CEM delivers immediate insight into the underlying IP networks
that support Microsoft Lync environments without using costly probes
throughout the network or burdening the performance of all UC elements
with post-event diagnostics traces.
CEM's UC service assurance management interface provides proactive and
intuitive network service management through a single-pane-of-glass view
that allows IT support personnel to rapidly execute diagnostic workflows
upon receipt of service complaints. CEM's interface and workflow
structure allows a much greater percentage of UC service cases to be
quickly managed by IT operations and support personnel without requiring
a higher level of expert resources. CEM also supports manager-of-manager
applications such as Microsoft System Center, delivering key performance
indicator alerts and other service-related data to unified management
solutions.
NetSocket's powerful IP Correlation Engine, with its automatic
correlation of all IP network data, fully supports the Microsoft Lync
Network Diagnostics API to provide a complete picture of the Lync user
experience. Within seconds, CEM isolates the faults of a service
degradation event and, through its informative graphical user interface,
provides both real-time and historical IP network information for any
call, enabling root cause identification for all calls affected by an
event.
"CEM optimizes Microsoft Lync UC service management and users'
experience by providing immediate insight into the IP network issues
that could impact a Microsoft Lync user's experience," said John White,
CEO and president of NetSocket. "NetSocket is leading the way in
supporting the Microsoft Lync platform and assuring exceptional unified
communications, providing further reductions in enterprise and managed
service provider TCO."
