INTEL TO LAUNCH VOD, LIVE CHANNELS SERVICE IN 2013: Intel has confirmed it was in talks with content providers ahead of a planned internet TV launch this year, AllThingsDigital has reported. The chipmaker is currently testing an over-the-top TV set-top box with a closed group of employees, said Erik Huggers, vice president and general manager of Intel Media. He said that the company plans to supplement on-demand content by offering live linear channels without the need to purchase a large bundle of services, said Huggers.
