Allianz Life Promotes Todd Petit to Assistant Vice President, Actuarial Product Development

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) named Todd Petit assistant vice president of Actuarial Product Development where he is responsible for life insurance product development, actuarial interface with IT, and managing new product approvals from state regulators. Petit will work across the company to sustain policy administration systems for inforce business and life insurance products. He will report to the Vice President of Actuarial Development, Renee West.

"Todd's leadership style encourages collaboration and he is known for building talent," said West. "His solid industry knowledge and actuarial expertise combined with his ability to deepen relationships have been integral to Allianz Life's success in bringing new life isurance products to market."

Before being promoted, Petit was a senior director actuary in charge of life product development. He worked across the company to help build the life insurance business. Petit also led the actuarial division's involvement to test the new business administration system. Petit started at Allianz Life in 2001 where he held various actuary roles. Before joining Allianz Life, he was staff actuary with American Express (News - Alert) Financial Advisors (currently Ameriprise Financial, Inc.) in Minneapolis. From 1993 to 1999 Petit worked with Fortis Benefits Insurance Company in Woodbury, Minn. as a product development actuary as well as a senior market analyst for the life business.

Petit received a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries as well as a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
