EDITORIAL: Is voter ID un-American?

Jan 28, 2013 (San Bernardino County Sun - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- With municipal elections just around the corner, voters in many Southern California cities will soon head to the polls to select their next mayors, city council members and a handful of citywide measures that will chart the futures of their communities.

Opponents say photo ID laws suppress voter turnout -- a particularly worrisome effect considering very few people head to the polls for municipal elections.
