Identive poroduct makes it easy to add RFID

Jan 25, 2013 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Identive Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: INVE) has announced GameChangeR, a developers' solutions kit that enables the rapid creation and integration of contactless radio frequency identification technology into electronic games without the need for specialist RFID knowledge. RFID allows physical objects to interact with virtual environments for a richer user experience.

The GameChangeR RFID solutions development kit comes with a specially-configured RFID reader, three GameChangeR tags and a USB -- USART converter. The 13.56Mhz, ISO14443A reader exposes a simple-to-use, high-level API that allows developers to interact with the GameChangeR RFID tags in a protected manner, and with no knowledge or prior experience working with RFID technology. Both the reader and the pre-initialized GameChangeR tags are configured to work only with each other, which ensures integrity of the tag content and protection of the gaming experience in a given ecosystem. Identive currently is accepting orders for the GameChangeR development kit for shipment in February.

Identive Group is focused on building the world's signature company in Secure ID. The company's products, software, systems and services address the markets for identity management, physical and logical access control, cashless payment, NFC solutions and a host of RFID-enabled applications for customers in the government, enterprise, consumer, education and healthcare sectors.
