DALLAS, Jan. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --
Generational Equity, a leading mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately-held, middle-market businesses, is pleased to announce the sale of its client, Emineo Group, Inc. (Emineo) to Alliance Technologies, Inc., a member of the Iowa Network Services (INS) Family of Companies. The transaction closed on December 28, 2012, and was led by Vice President, Musa Jagne and Managing Director, Terry Mackin from the firm's Dallas, Texas headquarters. Emineo's legal team included Jason Ross of Davis Brown Law Firm in Des Moines, Iowa. Financial guidance for Emineo came from Ron Dickinson, CPA of Dickinson & Clark CPAs, PC in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Emineo is an IT solutions provider and Value Added Reseller (VAR) providing cloud computing and virtual desktop solutions. Since its inception in 2007, Emineo has focused on providing Citrix and Microsoft solutions, and has added VMware and Storage Area Networks (SAN) technologies to its primary product portfolio. Additionally, Emineo is a Gold Level Partner with Citrix and a Premier Level Partner with Dell.
Officials at both organizations believe the mix of experienced technical staff and common product offerings will make the integration of the operations seamless. "We ran a process that provided several suitors but none more compatible for Emineo than Alliance Technologies," added Musa Jagne of Generational Equity.
"Together we are building a stronger company with significant benefits, offering a wide array of IT products and services that complement each other well," said Randy Barger, President of Emineo. "Combining the companies provides an unrivaled mix of technology solutions and expertise, and offers additional resources for customer service and support operations."
"Our acquisition of Emineo reflects our conscious effort to build a full-service IT firm that our customers can depend on for their business technology solutions," said Steve Sikkink, President of Alliance Technologies. "Although this is an acquisition, we see it as a partnership between two companies. We are pleased that Randy and his team will continue to be available to help serve customers in the future."
Emineo will strengthen Alliance Technologies' knowledge and offerings related to Citrix and virtualization technologies. Additionally, the acquisition provides growth opportunities and geographic expansion for Alliance Technologies, establishing them as a Midwest provider with a presence in Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota.
"We are very pleased to help our clients find synergistic buyers that are a good fit," stated Ryan Binkley, President of Generational Equity. "The combination of Emineo with Alliance Technologies is another example of how hard our dealmakers work to find optimal buyers for our clients."
