Endace Doubles Network Recording Capacity and Introduces Streamlined Network Troubleshooting Workflow
SUNNYVALE, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Endace
(LSE: EDA), the world leader in intelligent network recording and
network visibility infrastructure, today announced the immediate
availability of new, industry-best, 64-Terabyte appliances that double
network traffic retention capacity. Endace also announced a major
upgrade to its OSm monitoring software that simplifies network
troubleshooting workflow for operations and security professionals.

New capabilities include:
-
Support for 64TB of local high-speed disk storage in a three rack-unit
system. 64TB of disk storage doubles the amount of traffic that can be
recorded by an EndaceProbe, and extends Endace's industry leadership
in density and price/performance. Multiple 7000 Series EndaceProbes
can be grouped and load balanced to further extend storage capacity up
to 256 Terabytes, without adding the complexity or expense of external
SAN.
-
Packets, a web-based protocol analyzer now included in
EndaceProbe software. Using Packets, network traffic recorded by an
EndaceProbe can be decoded and investigated by analysts without
downloading sensitive traffic to the analyst's desktop. Packets
saves time, improving mean and maximum Time-To-Resolution, and also
helps organizations reduce the risk profile of network and security
analysis.
-
New traffic visualizations and reports that further help network
analysts drill-down into detailed packet data to isolate, investigate
and resolve problems from Layer 2 to Layer 7. One new visualization,
for example, shows absolute and relative traffic associated with each
application on the network at every point in time, so trends and
spikes can be easily identified.
"This is an important release for us as it delivers the rich reporting
functionality that we know that customers operating high-speed data
center networks require for troubleshooting and security forensics,"
said Spencer Greene, SVP products and marketing. "The expansion to 64TB
of local storage is critical as it gives customers the ability to store
more network traffic for longer, which is something we see increasing
demand for in high-speed environments."
Version 5.1 of the EndaceProbe Operating Software is available
immediately. Existing EndaceProbe customers with valid support contracts
are entitled to a complimentary upgrade and should contact their account
manager.
