BRIEF: Notebook Computers Stolen from NMSU

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons who stole several brand new notebook computers and docking stations from New Mexico State University.
NMSU police learned Tuesday that 15 Hewlett Packard notebook computers and 15 HP Advanced Docking Stations were stolen from a room in Gerald Thomas Hall -- all new and still packaged in their original boxes, a Crime Stoppers news release said.
The computers are all HP Model 8470P and silver in color, while the docking stations are black, the release said. Value of the stolen items is estimated at more than $15,000.
Police believe the theft occurred some time between early evening of Friday, Jan. 18, and Tuesday morning.
