BRIEF: AT&T U-verse service down for some Oklahomans
Jan 23, 2013 (The Oklahoman - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Some Oklahoma customers of AT&T's U-verse service were experiencing outages Wednesday, a problem the company acknowledged was occurring "in some of our markets."
Oklahoma-based company spokeswoman Emily Lang said the television and high-speed Internet service issue was "impacting a limited number of customers in our southwest and southeast region states, including Oklahoma."
The company did not disclose how many customers in the state are experiencing problems. However, several customers contacted The Oklahoman on Wednesday to discuss their service problems.
Lang said the problem was affecting less than 1 percent of all U-verse customers, which totaled 7.4 million at the end of September.
"We're having an issue with a server that supports U-verse and are working to restore services as soon as possible," Lang said.
The company said it was making progress with the server issue, and apologized for any inconvenience.
