Scan Systems to Release State-of-the-Art Updates to Tubular Data Systems Software
HOUSTON --(Business Wire)--
Scan Systems, a truly unique company dedicated to serving the niche
markets of OCTG manufactures, processors and inspection facilities, will
release a work order module and billing module for its Tubular Data
Systemstm (TDS) Software. The company plans to release the
modules in the first quarter of 2013.
"Our customers deserve and need the ability to track the current status
and location of OCTG tubing and casing at every step of the process,
from receiving into the yard, movements to a service facility and
ultimately to a storage rack waiting to ship, and our current TDS
software gives them that ability. With our new work order and billing
modules, our customers will also have up to the minute information on
the footage that has been shipped for a particular work order, what
remains to be processed for that work order all the while billing for
the services rendered with a few clicks of the mouse," said Scan Systems
Sales and Marketing Vice President Matt Rutledge. "This unique addition
to our current OCTG inventory control software is designed to truly
address the complications seen on a daily basis in a very niche market
that few companies have chosen to serve. With the new modules designed
to complement our TDSW software product, the inventory control managers
and inspection plant supervisors will be able to effectively manage the
API and customer specific inspection criteria of OCTG tubing and casing
fom inception to completion and all points in between."
Scan Systems consistently invests in R&D to ensure continuous module
development for their industry leading software to address customer's

TDS, a uniquely capable program and industry standard, was originally
introduced in 1994 as a DOS based inventory control system. Its main
functions have been to control the inventory received into the yard,
manage the movement and storage of OCTG materials, releasing the pipe
for shipping, all the while keeping track of the ever changing
descriptions such as the material grades, threads and connection, and
color bands. Multiple dedicated programmers and developers continue to
work on enhancements and complimentary software products to better serve
our industry. In addition, to the development staff, Scan Systems has
multiple customer service reps in house to provide assistance and
support for the TDS software products online, by phone or by email.
