BRIEF: Deputies: Man kidnapped during violent robbery

CONCORD, N.C. -- Authorities on Monday arrested a man they say robbed a man after beating and kidnapping him.
Pedro Lorenzo Salinas, 20, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and first degree kidnapping. He is being held in the Cabarrus County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
Deputies say on Sunday Salinas attacked and restrained another man while he took $1,200 worth of valuables, according to an arrest warrant.
The victim was seriously injured in the robbery, and deputies say a handgun and knife were involved in the robbery.
Items stolen included a Samsung LCD Smart TV, a Dell laptop computer, two rings and $20 cash.
Salinas' next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 29.
