Control4 Partners with SIPCO

SIPCO announced that Control4 Corp., a provider of automation, control and energy management technology, has become a member of the Essential Wireless Mesh Patent Portfolio by taking a license to SIPCO's patents, including U.S. Patent Numbers 7,103,511; 7,468,661; and 7,697,492.
SIPCO is a provider of mesh networking and related technology based in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to a release, founded by inventor T. David Petite, SIPCO developed technologies enabling self-organizing wireless networking and related technologies known as Wireless Mesh in conjunction with IntusIQ. Wireless Mesh is used in protocols such as ZigBee, Z-Wave, IEEE 802.15.4, WirelessHART and proprietary mesh network and in other wireless applications such as SmartGrid, building automation, industrial controls, network backhaul, smart vehicles, home appliances, home automation and entertainment, sensor monitoring, healthcare monitoring and Internet service provisioning.
