Exacq Adds New and More Robust IP Camera Integration with Latest exacqVision VMS Software Release
INDIANAPOLIS --(Business Wire)--
Exacq Technologies has released Version 5.2 of its exacqVision video
management system (VMS) software for use with network video surveillance
systems. The exacqVision VMS is used throughout the world in schools,
hospitals, retail stores, corporate locations and manufacturing
facilities. The latest version adds increased support for
multi-streaming IP cameras, increased integration of network
camera-hosted video analytics, simplified video management configuration
and added support for exacqVision Edge.
Version 5.2 adds multi-streaming support for IP cameras from
manufacturers Pelco, Hikvision and Interlogix. Multi-streaming allows an
IP camera to send more than one video stream with different parameters
to the server software and the client software for viewing and
recording. For instance, a multi-streaming camera can send both high and
low resolution video streams to the server. The user may choose to
monitor the low resolution video stream from the Exacq Mobile app on a
smart phone and then view recorded incients from the high resolution
stream to see pertinent detail. Multi-streaming on exacqVision is also
supported from cameras manufactured by Axis (News - Alert) Communications, Panasonic,
Arecont Vision and ACTi.
Exacq has also added new IP camera support from Innovative Security
Designs (ISD) IP cameras for its exacqVision Edge solution. exacqVision
Edge is a complete VMS server that resides directly on an IP camera
without the need for a separate server. It is ideal for standalone
surveillance solutions or as part of a distributed solution. exacqVision
Edge is also supported by IP cameras from Axis Communications and
IQinVision.
As part of the company's ongoing plan to push critical surveillance data
to the edge of the network via IP cameras, version 5.2 of exacqVision
adds increased functionality of network camera-hosted video analytics.
Camera manufacturer UDP (News - Alert) hosts video analytics directly on their cameras.
This data can be utilized from the exacqVision client user interface.
Moreover, these analytic events can trigger notifications which can be
sent in the form of email or text messages directly to mobile phones.
The latest version of exacqVision adds simplified video management
configuration to the client user interface. Setting up personalized
views, camera tours, groups and maps is now streamlined and available
from a single location for easy setup and ongoing editing.
