Consortium of investors sells Credant Technologies to Dell

Credant Technologies, Inc. has been acquired by Dell, Inc., a manufacturer of desktop PCs, servers, networking products, software and peripherals. Both the companies are based in the US.
Credant Technologies is a provider of data protection solutions to control, manage and secure data sent from endpoints to servers, storage and the cloud.
Earlier, Credant Technologies had secured venture funding from Crescendo Venture Management, LLP., Austin Ventures, Menlo Ventures and Intel Capital.
