Dell acquires Credant Technologies

Dell, Inc., a manufacturer of desktop PCs, servers, networking products, software and peripherals, has acquired Credant Technologies, Inc. Both the companies are based in the US.
Credant Technologies is a provider of data protection solutions to control, manage and secure data sent from endpoints to servers, storage and the cloud.

Dell has entered into an agreement to acquire Credant.
Earlier, Credant Technologies had secured venture funding from Crescendo Venture Management, LLP., Austin Ventures, Menlo Ventures and Intel Capital.
