BUYINS.NET: Market Maker Surveillance Report. MCP, MU, HBAN, GNW, MYL, FB, Highest Net Buy Volume With Lowest Price Friction For Monday, December 10th 2012

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 4068 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3029 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2618 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Molycorp Inc (NYSE:MCP), Micron Technology Inc (NASDAQ:MU), HUNTINGTON BANCSHARES INCORPORATED (NASDAQ:HBAN), Genworth Financial Inc (NYSE:GNW), Mylan Inc (NASDAQ:MYL), Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction MCP $1.780 19.91% 9,641,640 43.28% 8,326,609 37.38% 1,315,031 7,388 MU $0.250 3.81% 16,963,157 52.56% 15,164,033 46.98% 1,799,124 71,965 HBAN $0.070 1.21% 5,763,262 58.67% 4,048,708 41.22% 1,714,554 244,936 GNW $0.110 1.66% 5,336,025 46.69% 3,768,068 32.97% 1,567,957 142,542 MYL $0.570 2.08% 3,827,927 64.40% 2,540,975 42.75% 1,286,952 22,578 FB $0.330 1.22% 25,676,463 51.12% 24,360,496 48.50% 1,315,967 39,878 Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MCP with a Net Buy Volume of 1,315,031 shares and a Friction Factor of 7,388 shares. That means that it takes 7,388 more shares of buying than selling to move MCP higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
