Echo Launches Chute Media Galleries
SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--
Echo,
the first and largest real-time web platform provider, and Chute,
makers of the leading platform for publishers and brands to seamlessly
integrate user-generated content into websites and apps, today announced
the release of Chute Media Galleries, an application that enables
marketers to quickly build and deploy real-time, user generated photo
walls about any topic, user or hashtag. The new Echo Enabled App is
available immediately through Echo's
App Ecosystem.
With this new app, marketers can create social experiences in seconds
using an easy-to-use dashboard. Each gallery features real-time user
generated photos from Twitter (News - Alert) and Instagram, tailored to showcase posts
that contain specific hashtags, search terms or user accounts. Users can
also add photos to the experience from their local hard drives or import
them directly from their favorite photo services including Facebook (News - Alert),
Flickr, Picasa and Instagram.
"People are producing visual content about brands every day," said Khris
Loux, Co-founder and CEO of Echo. "Chute Media Galleries provide an easy
and efficient way to instantly harness this content and use it to create
engaging, real-time experiences for websites, microsites or as part of
marketing and advertising programs."
As an Echo Enabled App, Chute Media Gallries inherits a number of
important capabilities from the Echo Platform, including automatic spam
filtering and advanced moderation controls. Every gallery photo is
displayed in a modern, pinboard-style view that includes social features
such as the ability to comment, like or reply to each photo. All
original content and updates flow into the gallery in real-time, without
the need for the visitor to refresh the page.
Chute Media Galleries seamlessly interoperates with a wide range of
other real-time apps that are also available through Echo's App
Ecosystem. This powerful framework enables marketers, product teams and
developers to weave holistic, immersive experiences that are on par with
leading social networks.
"We see significant value in being part of the Echo Enabled Program,"
said Ranvir Gujral, CEO of Chute. "Echo provides a robust foundation for
this app while serving as a sales and marketing channel into large
enterprises that want to better manage the relationship with their
audiences and be part of the visual revolution. We look forward to
expanding our relationship with Echo and being part of their collective
movement to transform the web from static to real-time."
