Market Maker Surveillance Report. BSX, NOK, JCP, RAH, GLW, F, Bullishly Biased Price Friction For Tuesday, November 27th 2012

Nov 28, 2012 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4166 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2526 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2967 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Boston Scientific Corp (NYSE:BSX), Nokia Oyj (NYSE:NOK), J C Penney Company Inc (NYSE:JCP), Ralcorp Holdings Inc (NYSE:RAH), Corning Inc (NYSE:GLW), Ford Motor Co (NYSE:F). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction BSX $0.020 0.34% 5,268,283 23.76% 6,776,054 30.56% -1,507,771 Abnormal NOK $0.200 5.95% 24,765,722 33.33% 29,314,282 39.45% -4,548,560 Abnormal JCP $0.290 1.69% 2,503,753 25.10% 3,599,640 36.09% -1,095,887 Abnormal RAH $18.560 26.43% 10,759,063 32.53% 14,459,136 43.72% -3,700,073 Abnormal GLW $0.780 6.87% 14,215,079 33.98% 15,434,290 36.90% -1,219,211 Abnormal F $0.010 0.05% 13,303,680 35.57% 14,418,918 38.55% -1,115,238 Abnormal Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Tuesday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BSX with 1,507,771 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.02000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
