HFHS selects Information Builders's technology for EDW program
Oct 15, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) --
Information Builders, a provider of business intelligence and analytics, information integrity, and integration solutions, has announced that Henry Ford Health System, or HFHS, has selected the company's Omni-Patient application and WebFOCUS BI platform for its enterprise data warehouse, or EDW, program.
Julia Swanson, HFHS director of Performance Analytics and Improvement, stated, "Information Builders' Omni-Patient provides us with the ability to rapidly implement our Enterprise Data Warehouse while decreasing risk. We have selected an application approach to enterprise information management and analytics that accelerates our implementation in a way that would not be possible with a typical build approach offered by most other vendors in the marketplace."
Information Builders' multi-year agreement with HFHS includes its Omni-Patient application - which comes with a healthcare data model, master data management, real-time data quality firewall, patient identity management - delivering highly reliable integrated data into a transactional data repository and a healthcare data warehouse, which jointly enable the 360-degree single view of patient information and of patient journey through the cycle of care. It also includes an integrated set of healthcare dashboards and metrics, which help healthcare organizations improve and meet external regulatory requirements, the company said.
HFHS will then use WebFOCUS 8 with the Omni-Patient application to broaden access to information, providing actionable knowledge that will improve quality while reducing costs. As part of the agreement, HFHS and Information Builders will also work actively together to drive innovation around advanced analytics.
"We are honored to have been selected by Henry Ford Health System for their EDW program and believe that the new relationship is a testament to the value that can be derived from our unique approach to healthcare data management and analytics," said Gerald Cohen, president and CEO of Information Builders.
